IJAF director Uwe Ewald met with filmmaker Jürgen Ast (AstFilm Productions) in Berlin who is producing a monumental documentary about the East-German border. A vast amount of materials and historical documents have to be analysed in preparation of the documentary including legal documents related to criminal cases of East-German border guards and their superiors who were convicted after 1989 for the killings at the border.
