User Center
IJA-Forum follows a User Centered Design, i.e. it attempts to focus on crucial needs of crime analysts and empirical and legal researchers in international criminal justice. The User Center contains information on bibliographies, data bases, training courses, conferences and workshops, analytic services, and special projects.
Analytic Services & Consultancy
IJA-Forum offers support in factual or judicial analysis required for international crime cases. Based on its expert network and roster of analysts and researchers, who are available for special analysis, it should be possible to find the analysts with the appropriate skills and methodological knowledge.
Databases
The amount of information to be processed in international criminal justice analysis is constantly growing. It is a strategic objective for IJA-Forum to facilitate efficent access to relevant data. The center piece of IJAF's Knowledge Management concept is an International Core Crime Knowledge Base. A first step in this long-term development of a Knowledge Base are structured data bases, mainly comprising information on international core crime cases. These data bases are very efficient to identify (filter) crucial information. The CaseScreening data base is the first application available (Beta version), and gives a comprehensive and structured overview on case related factual and judicial information.
Training Courses
IJA-Forum attempts to respond to training needs in particular in regard to emprirical research methods.
Special IJAF Projects
IJAF research projects are conducted on clients' requests or related to special topics where funding can be secured. Job offers or intern positions are announced under 'Vacancies'. Suggestions and proposals for possible future projects are very welcome. Please use the 'Add comment' or 'Contact' function to send information.
